Solid state laser for Micro Sciences
New products and developments from Elforlight:
22 June 2006: The new UV-FQ laser from Elforlight is specially designed to replace Nitrogen lasers in MALDI (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionisation mass spectroscopy) systems, enabling the next generation of high throughput instruments and MALDI imaging systems. Repetition rates to 10kHz, with 100 microJoule energy at 1kHz, and pulse widths approx. 4ns at 355nm, closely match Nitrogen laser parameters, but with excellent TEM00 beam quality. Uniquely, UV-FQ offers timing jitter of <1ns from an external trigger input. The new B-488 laser is a compact 488nm laser system offering excellent beam quality, high stability and low noise. Key application areas include Biomedical Instrumentation, Spectroscopy and Flow cytometry. Elforlight are pleased to announce their entry into the ultrafast laser arena. A new diode pumped UFO Ultra Fast Oscillator provides high efficiency in a compact package for applications including multi photon excitation and time resolved fluorescence. Initial UFO specifications are 100MHz, 100fs, 1020-1070nm with output powers up to 250mW.
