The new release of the Alicona InfiniteFocus optical 3D measurement device offers improved and comprehensive measurement capabilities for both micro and nanometrology.
Alicona Imaging offers high quality systems for optical measurement and inspection both in the production environment and in the QA and research areas. The new InfiniteFocus system is an optical 3D measurement device for applications in micro- and nanometrology.
In addition to the depth information a dense and robust 3D surface reconstruction is obtained and depth measurements up to 20nm z-resolution are available on all surfaces including steeply walled inclusions and those with variable surface reflection properties.
The new version of the Infinite Focus optical profilometry system has a number of novel features such as traceable calibration, this, combined with new easy to use user interface, enables fast and accurate results that can be related to a known and certified standard.
The 3D reconstruction of surfaces is also much quicker and a new imagefield module enables large 3D surfaces to be quickly imaged and measured.
New modules allow circles, lines, height steps to be measured this is in addition to the analysis modules of profile, area, volume and roughness measurement already incorporated within the software. In addition to this InfiniteFocus now provides 2D analysis of optical colour images either manually or in a semi-automatic mode.
The leading edge technology of InfiniteFocus can be used for quality assurance in many areas but not restricted to material science and testing, metallurgical components, automotive industry, aero industry, semiconductor and printed circuit board manufacturing, forensic science and many more.
